Joseph Padavano
President
Mr. Padavano, an aeronautical and astronautical engineering graduate
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, serves as president of
the company and leads its program management practice. Mr. Padavano,
who has more than 20 years experience in program management, counts
among his career highlights: program management for the Mars Ascent
portion of a Mars Sample Return study, developing launch vehicle
fairing acoustic attenuation technology, the $80 million Taurus launch
vehicle development and production program, all technical aspects of
the Transfer Orbit Stage program, development of EVA tools for the
Palapa/Westar recovery mission, and numerous civil and military
satellite programs. Mr. Padavano has received a number of prestigious
industry awards for outstanding leadership and achievement.
Warren McCrary
Vice
President, Operations
Mr. McCrary holds an engineering degree in applied sciences from
Arizona State University and has worked in the industry for more than
20 years. Mr. McCrary’s prior integration, test and operations program
experience includes the Orbital Express, Taurus launch vehicle, Gamma
Ray Observatory, Orbiting Maneuvering Vehicle, HS-393 communication
satellite, Galileo Jupiter Probe and providing support to spaceports in
Florida, California, Alaska and Virginia. Mr. McCrary was responsible
for the development and successful execution of the austere launch site
operations used on the Taurus launch vehicle has been awarded a number
of industry awards for his work in this field.
Anthony Austin
Vice
President, System Safety and Mission Assurance
Holding both master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of
Southern California in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, Mr.
Austin has developed a superior level of expertise in the area of
system safety and mission assurance for space launch vehicles. He has
relevant experience on all major U.S. launch ranges and has developed
and executed the MIL-STD-882 system safety program for the AirLaunch
LLC QuickReach vehicle. Mr. Austin also has significant experience on
several major launch vehicle programs, including the Taurus launch
vehicle, the Delta II, and the X-34. In addition, Mr. Berenberg was
responsible for the development and implementation of safety and
mission assurance programs at Orbital Sciences' Launch Systems Group,
including the ISO 9000 certification of that organization.
